Arrive in Atlantic Beach by leaving Morehead City and driving south across the Atlantic Beach Bridge. The bridge ends on the causeway where restaurants, shops and local businesses begin. The town lies on an approximate 24-mile barrier island, shared with the communities of Pine Knoll Shores, Indian Beach and Emerald Isle.

“Don’t miss” attractions in the Atlantic Beach area include Fort Macon on the eastern end of the island and the North Carolina Aquarium, just down the main highway in Pine Knoll Shores.
